ANNUAL PLEDGING

Annual pledging is an important aspect of stewardship at First Lutheran. Each fall, members are asked to make a pledge of financial support for the following year. Pledging not only facilitates financial planning for the coming year, but also serves to confirm one's participation in the ministry of First Lutheran.

How to Pledge

Each fall, one Sunday in October orÊNovember is designated “Commitment Sunday.” On that day, pledges are made to support First Lutheran and its ministry. Prior to that time, pledge forms are mailed to members of the congregation so that the pledge forms may be collected on Commitment Sunday. Although members are encouraged to make a pledge by Commitment Sunday, pledges may be made until the end of December.

A pledge may be made by:

  • Filling out the pledge form and placing it in the offering plate on Commitment Sunday.
  • Filling out the pledge form and mailing or delivering it to the church office.
  • Pledging electronically via the confidential form below.

In response to God's love and grace, I'd like to pledge my support for God's ministries through First Lutheran Church. The contents of this form will be seen only by the Financial Secretary (and, of course, the Almighty).

How to Give

Each person or family that makes a pledge will receive a packet of giving envelopes. Pledges may be fulfilled by enclosing payment(s) in the envelopes and either placing the envelopes in the offering plate during worship or mailing the envelopes to the church office.

Alternatively, one may use Simply Giving, an electronic direct-contribution program operated by Thrivent Financial. This allows your payment to be automatically deducted from your checking account (or charged to a credit card). You can enroll, change or withdraw from the program at any time.
