Hello! My name is Evelyn Patricia (Patty) Ticas, I am 15 years old. This year I will study my second year of Academic baccalaureate. I have been a member of the Lutheran Church, Rios de Agua Viva, since I was very young. There are four members in my family. My sister, Esmeralda, studies Economy in the University, my mother Milagro is a housewife and she has not been able to find a wage-earning job. My father, Ines, is the only one who works in the house and has a monthly wage of $120.00 dollars. For my family it is very difficult to pay for the studies for both of us. It would therefore be a blessing of God that you supported us through the Church of Rios de Agua Viva with this project of scholastic scholarships.

| Hello! My name is Jose Jonathan Sandoval Velis. I am 16 years old. I am a new member of the church. I have attended for approximately 2 years. This year I will study the first year of the Industrial Baccalaureate, studying to be an Electrician at the National Institute of Industrial Technology. This is a Baccalaureate in which I go to learn a trade and I hope in God to find a job quickly when I finish my studies, so that I will be able to help my mother with the economic expenses of our home. My mother is the head of the home, because my father left and does not give any aid to us. She (my mother) pays for the studies for myself and for my two sisters, and maintains the family. The present wage of my mother is of $138.00 dollars monthly, therefore, I request to God that this project is a reality and that He finds a kind family in our Sister church in Palo Alto that wants to be my god-family, because thus I will have the opportunity to finalize my studies and to help my mother.

Hello! I am Carlos Ernesto Ramirez Rivera. I am 18 years old. I have been member of the Church for two years. My mother is called Maura Araceli Rivera and my papa is Matías Ramirez. I have a brother and one sister. This year I will study electrical engineering in the Institute of Industrial Technology. My mother is housewife. My papa works with an old pick up in the Public Markets, doing trips for people who ask for the service. Our economic income is minimum and variable and depends on the trips that my father manages to obtain in the month; when we have luck my father earns $150.00 dollars in the month.

| Hello! I am Claudia Alejandra Cáceres Rivera. I am 18 years of age. I have been a member of the Church for 1 year. My mother is called Teresa Edomila (Mila) Rivera and my papa is called Rudy Alberto Cáceres. I only live with my mother who is the one that maintains the home, because my parents are separated. This year I will study the first year of general baccalaureate. And desire with all my heart to find a kind family that wants to be my god-family, to manage to finish my studies, to work and to be able to help my mother economically, because with the $200.00 dollars per month that she earns and with the cost of living so high in our country, she cannot buy all the equipment, uniforms, college supplies and other necessities for me for my studies. What she earns pays for the basic things for our home. Now my study is already considered a luxury, therefore at this time I have not been able to finalize my basic education.

pues mis padres están separados. Este año yo estudiaré el primer año de bachillerato general. Y deseo de todo corazón encontrar una familia bondadosa que quiera ser mi padrino, para lograr finalizar mis estudios, trabajar y poder ayudar económicamente a mi mamá, porque con los $200.00 dólares mensuales que ella gana y con el costo de la vida en nuestro país tan alto, ella no
alcanza a comprarme todos los útiles, uniformes, colegiaturas y otras necesidades de mis estudios, pues lo que gana le sirve para lo básico de nuestro hogar. Ya el estudio se constituye en un lujo, por esta razón ha esta edad no he podido finalizar mi educación básica.

| I am Carlos Joel Muñoz Cornejo of four years of age. I have two sisters Diana who is 9 years old and Nancy who is 7 years of age, and 1 brother who is 8 years of age. In my family we are 6 members altogether. We are of limited economic resources. My mother works and gains $118.00 dollars monthly and my papa gains $120.00 dollars monthly. With these two wages my papa and my mother cover the necessities for our family. The money that is earned does not allow us to rent a house, so we live in the house along with my uncle and his family. My grandparents live there also. This year I will start my kindergarten studies, my parents are distressed because they do not know what they are going to do so that the four children can study, but they say that the sacrifice they make is not important as having the 4 children put to study. For that reason we wanted to request a small aid from a padrino or godmother for to me so that I can initiate my studies. May God bless you today and always.

Este año iniciaré mis estudios de kindergarten, mis padres están afligidos porque no saben como van hacer para que los cuatro hijos estudiemos, pero ellos dicen que no importa el sacrificio que hagan nos van a poner a estudiar a los 4 hijos. Por eso es que quisiera pedirles una pequeña ayuda consiguiéndome un padrino o madrina para que yo pueda iniciar mis estudios.

My papa is called Miguel Angel Perez of 29 years of age. We lived in one "champa" on plastic and mud on the border of a small river at the top of the gorge. In winter when it rains we worried because the land can collapse and our house fall into the river. My mother is housewife and my papa works as a collector of passage in the microbuses that go towards San Ramon. | I am Maria Hope Albanez Rivas. I have my sister, Damaris, who is 10 years old, she studies in the mornings and in the afternoons she works as babysitter and is paid $20.00 dollars monthly. With that money she helps my mother with the expenses of the house. I am 5 years of age. I am going to begin kindergarten. My mother is called Ana Rivas and has half of her body paralyzed by a bullet that hit her in the head during the war. My papa is called Enrique Albanez and is 70 years old. He is a traveling French bread salesman. He earns an average of $1.50 dollars daily so for the month earns $35.00 dollars. With that we maintain our family of 4 members. We live in a "champa" on mud and plastic on the border of a small River, in winter we are scared that the champa falls into the river and in the summer there is enough dust, which is the reason why I become ill frequently.
