SEASON OF EASTER

Join us on our spiritual journey

Opportunities

There are many ways to become part of the community at FLC, both for members and friends.

  • Worship. This is the core of our community, not just on Sunday morning but 24/7. Many members participate as assisting ministers, acolytes, choir members, ushers, altar guild, and more.
  • Education. FLC offers opportunities for children, teens, and adults to expand their knowledge of Christianity and encourages individual spiritual growth, both on Sunday morning and on special occasions throughout the year.
  • Outreach. Our members volunteer with community organizations such as the Food Closet, Urban Ministry, and musical groups.
  • Fellowship. Having fun on occasion is part of God's plan too; and we have opportunities for FLC members and friends to get to know one another in social activities.
  • Committees. As in any large organization, committees coordinate the important details of operations, including finances, worship, learning, community relations, and more.
  • Visitation. Volunteers visit shut-ins from the congregation who are unable to attend worship or other activities at church. Volunteers may visit one or more persons according to their time and interest - once a week, twice a month, or monthly. Some volunteers also take on other responsibilities if they choose, such as grocery shopping or running errands if needed. Contact person: Evelyn Frykman
  • Individual opportunities also exist for office assistants, music librarian, and more. Contact the office for details.
