Participants in worshipWorship is not a spectator sport at FLC. Every member of the congregation participates in various roles: Assisting Ministers read the lessons, offer prayers and assist in the distribution of holy communion. If you are interested, contact Stephanie Leong.
Acolytes bear the cross and torches which lead the processions and recessions of worship services. They also light candles, assist in distribution of Communion and other key parts of worship, especially baptisms. If you are interested, contact Breanna Grove. Altar Guild members work behind the scenes of every worship service. Working in teams, members set the Table and prepare the communion vessels in preparation for Worship. Members are asked to commit themselves to serve approximately every six weeks, either on Saturday or Sunday morning. Their responsibilities include replacing candles, changing altar and ambo paraments, cleaning the baptismal font and refreshing the water, dressing the chalice for the Eucharist, filling the flagon, setting out the bread, and cleaning or changing the worship accoutrements. Ushers distribute bulletins, escort congregants to their seats, ring the bell, count attendance, operate the P.A. system, and collect the offering. We also need ushers for special services such as memorials. If you are interested, contact Beverly Grove. Choir. The folks in the white robes. They sing, ring bells, march around. Plus, they get together on Thursday nights and horse around. Coffee Hour. While not technically part of worship, we sure do like our coffee, and it's the perfect opportunity to socialize and relax after the concentration of worship. Coffee and goodies are provided by the various Koinonia groups in turn; there is a sign-up chart in the Parish Hall. Flowers. Each Sunday the altar is graced by beautiful flowers provided by members and friends of the congregation. Often these flowers are dedicated to or in memory of someone special in our lives. Choose your special Sundays and sign up on the flower chart in the Parish Hall. You may provide the flowers in either of the following ways:
Congregation. It is not necessary to sign up for anything to
